The Edelweiss Lodge was built in the mid-1950's and has been lovingly maintained ever since. It is located in Mammoth Lakes, California, in a quiet residential section of town known as Old Mammoth. You can pick the place that fits your needs whether it's a romantic get-away weekend or a weeklong family vacation with the kids, and don't forget to bring the dog. Special Summer Discounts for 2008 Fireman, Police, Military Special Rates or Discounts We support our troops, police and firemen.  Mention that you are in military or public service and you receive an automatic 10% discount off of your stay here at our lodge.  Just remember that we will offer you the best discount possible, and we do not double discount. Early Summer Promotion May 22nd - June 26th, 2008 Stay for two nights and get the next two nights for FREE!  Hard to believe, but it's true.  We know that when you come and stay here at our cozy lodge, you will come back and be a regular customer.  And remember, we are pet friendly as well. Motocross June 19 - June 29, 2008 We are one of the closest lodging facilities to the track.  We have a large parking lot for your trucks and trailers.  We have a hose for you to use to wash off your bikes after the race.  And Marta's  famous chocolate chip cookies will help you replenish all of those calories from a day at the races. Summer Promotion July 7 - August 31, 2008 This is a very busy time of year for us, and lots of folks take advantage of our extended stay discounts.  When you stay for four nights you get a fifth night for free, and when you stay for seven nights you get a 25 % discount.  Nothing is better than Mammoth in the summer time. Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee July 9 - 13, 2008 Celebrate year number 20 for the Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee.  Show us your all-event badges and you will receive a 20% discount for this momentous year of jazz and fun.  And if you want to volunteer, call Marta or Keith (managers of the Edelweiss Lodge and Assistant Managers for the Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee Host program) and we will review Host responsibilities and give you an extra 5% (in addition to the 20% jazz jubilee attendee offer) off of your lodging costs if you sign up to volunteer. Bluesapalooza & Festival of Beers August 1 and 2, 2008 Come for the festival and stay longer to enjoy the beautiful mountains at their finest.  Relax in one of our comfortable cabins or suites and extend your stay beyond the weekend.  When you stay for four nights, your fifth night is FREE! Troutstock Eastern Sierra August 28 - September 1, 2008 Nothing fishy about this discount.  Stay at our place, use our grill for your fresh caught trout and snip some fresh herbs from our herb planter.  Sit on the deck, under the umbrella, nice glass of chardonnay or a cold microbrew ... couldn't be better! This four night stay can be extended for one more night for FREE.  Our guests receive a welcome basket with information about the Mammoth Lakes area, and home baked cookies. Doggie guests also get their very own basket of supplies and treats. And because many of you will be arriving late at night without time to go grocery shopping, there's the "Edelweiss Eyeopener" which is stocked with coffee and teas to help you get going that first morning with us. You will also notice artwork in most of the cabins and in the main office. The paintings are by a local artist, Janice Hatfield and feature scenes from the area. The photographs are by David Hirschberg who has been traveling to the Eastern Sierras for decades and has captured some of the majesty of these mountains in black and white and also color photographs. DOG FRIENDLY Well-behaved Pets are Welcome Many of these are for sale and all are available for admiring (as long as the cabins are unoccupied). The Edelweiss Lodge is our home and we welcome you to stay here and come back to our cozy cabins to relax after your mountain adventures. We are available to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, so if you need something or if you have questions about activities ... just ask ... it's not an interruption, it's our job.
